We are entirely virtual with official headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, and main hubs in Berlin, Germany, and Cape Town, South Africa. This position will be remote, but being at home in or close to Munich, Germany would be a plus.

Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to achieve impact at scale by managing innovative funds, providing quality advisory and education, and building the field for Impact-Linked Finance.

Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a working student who is supporting remotely our Lead Communications & Community Management and her team. If you have a passion for Impact-Linked Finance, knowledge dissemination and communications, this is a great opportunity for you to get some first-hand experience and help drive the creation of positive impact. The focus of your work will be:

  • Supporting the team in designing and piloting a new Community of Practice (CoP) platform for Impact-Linked Finance (e.g., analyzing platforms in the market, helping to design user journeys and learning paths, supporting in the adaptation of various educational content, helping to set up the pilot platform functionalities, etc.).
  • Continuously updating the 5 WordPress-based websites for Roots of Impact and our initiatives.
  • Assisting in setting up a new Learning Management System for our Social Finance Academy online learning community.
  • Assisting in the creation of our communications campaigns for various Impact-Linked Funds and programs.
  • Depending on your personal potential, time available, and interests: Fulfilling other tasks across our teams at Roots of Impact (to be discussed if you are interested to do more than 10 hours per week)

Could this be you?

  • You are pursuing a master’s degree in finance, business administration, innovation management or similar.
  • You are excited about Impact-Linked Finance, impact entrepreneurship and impact investing.
  • You have a passion for – and ideally some initial experience with – communications and knowledge dissemination and bring excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You have a strong affinity for – and ideally initial experience with – tech-based platforms, e.g., Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • You are a proficient user of WordPress and the MS Office suite (particularly PowerPoint).
